super speculative. cdc is already working with a few companies to develop a vacine they think will be ready for phase i trials in a few months. whatever enzc has patented probably isn't relevant to the isolates in the drugs they are studying now.
they are already using open data that chinese previously provided during sars breakout to isolate a genetically expressed protein that they are testing now for development of a vaccine they might be able to deploy in months ahead.
