ratna...

Several years ago circa 2009 I was clinical adviser to group at Harvard Med School who were working on novel methods of controlling inflammation...One of the chief scientists, Tracy Keller, was a long term friend of mine and I was somewhat instrumental in fanning her interest in inflammation and had turned her on to Earl Peacock's classic book on Inflammation...

I thought Amarin might be interested in making a contact with the Harvard group..discussed it with Tracy and she was OK with the idea...And I forwarded her contact numbers to Amarin with an explanation...

Amarin did nothing...never called her..just ignored me..Since that time I have been told Amarin actually has heard about me but is not interested..

I attended the 2018 AHA Annual Scientific meeting and listened to the presentation of the R-I results...I did stop by the Amarin booth a number of time neither JT or Elisabeth were there..I did run into a lipidologist (might have been Budoff)...He definitely was not interested in anything I had to say...and asked me how many "lipid panels" I had run..

Its all about credentials...you can be the dumbest dork in the universe (hello Nissen) and have it all backwards and people will listen if you have enough credentials...You can be smarter than Einstein...No credentials and you will be ignored...PS two years from now Nissen will be claiming he was the one who figured it was all about the EPA/AA ratio..the inflammation..

Its too bad the generics can invent an argument that seems to nullify the non obvious hypothesis...an argument that has no validity in reality...But if Amarin's "team" does not know the physiology...the facts, then they risk losing everything...
