Either I am not phrasing my question clearly enough or no one here really knows the answer
I am not trying to be insulting, but I've asked it many times and multiple people replied but no one really answered it. I am asking only about the MARINE patents that are being argued in court; not RI patents which may be argued later.

I am trying to understand the difference between settling vs winning in trial.

If Amarin settles with REDDY/HIKMA today, other generics will be back trying to infringe these MARINE patents, correct? If settlement, then there is no judicial decision, so other generics will undoubtedly be back for more on the same issues.

Here is the crux of my post: if Amarin wins in this trial, can additional generics try to infringe these MARINE patents, as they would in the above paragraph?
