My take on the Board additions:
At a bare minimum it brings an air of professionalism to the company. It's pretty clear that Mike's passion is growing really great Cannabis, not being a CEO. This change to the board may allow him to remain as the CEO, in name but actually hand off much of those duties to others who are more qualified.
It also sends a message to the street that NGW is DOING something to grow the company and improve their position within the sector.
Hopefully Mike won't micro-manage every decision. He is after all the principal stock holder and remains the CEO. I learned a long time ago in my company that "You have to let your managers manage." Yes I hold them accountable but I give them tremendous latitude.
So far I see this as a great move by the company. It addresses many of the concerns we have all spoken of here on this board, that being a lack of professionalism and business acumen. These additions seem to have shored-up the B.O.D. and strengthened them in areas where they were weak.
Another criticism has been that apparently the Board wasn't DOING anything to demonstrate that they had a business plan with forward looking goals and objectives. This seems to have remedied that concern.
More than ever before...…..looking forward to some incredible tomorrow's for this company.
Well done Mike. Yes...….I am often a very loud critic when I see things I don't like, but I am also one of your loudest champions when things are done well. I like this move a lot.
