Alex, I know little about DFFN but you are miss-reading their PR. The 86% number was the % alive at data cut (6 of 7). This timeframe was far less than 2 years probably a bit over a year on average.
They then compare that number to the 2 year OS seen in their P2 (38%) and that of OS (13%).
Maybe it is works, maybe not. But not the numbers you thought.
BTW, they are not planning to actually start the real P3 trial. They are trying to partner it off as they do not have the resources.
