JL and others who aren't familiar with STICKIED & PLUSONECOIN'ED posts (two separate things):

STICKIED - This board has 6 MODERATORS and X ADMIN. Each MODERATOR can STICKY 1 post at a time. All it means is that the STICKIED post will remain at the top of all regular posts for as long as MODERATOR / ADMIN chooses for it to remain STICKIED.

PLUSONECOIN - Those cost money and their price fluctuates, like bitcoin. Right now, $1 buys roughly 47 PLUSONECOIN. Highest 3 PLUSONECOIN'ED messages go on top of all messages (above STICKIED) and remain there for 7 days (unless someone spends more PLUSONECOIN on another post).

Difference between the two is that anyone can PLUSONECOIN any message (hence MRC's posts). STICKIES are done only by MODERATOR / ADMIN and only messages that are < 48 hours old can be STICKIED (but can remain STICKIED indefinitely).
