we sent POs via telex to China in late 90s as I think that was only way these plants communicated. Great story on Telex. My father sold them and asked his boss at national conference bout the risk of the faxmachine. His boss told him the fax would never last. he was sort of right LOL they are gone

You know, my dad for 32 years got all his orders via fax from the Navy the night before. I never understood that, but now it makes sense. And many times his on deck time was 0630. So they came in at dinner time. I never understood why not email.
