CBTC If you haven't looked at a U.S. map lately, you may not realize the proximity of Malheur County and Ontario, Oregon - where XTRA Bitcoin, Inc. has the power lease for Bitcoin mining - to Idaho, where the Idaho Power is based (obviously), which is mentioned in reference to the power lease in the article of my earlier post this morning:

Malheur County /mæl'h??r/ is a county in the southeast corner of the U.S. state of Oregon. As of the 2010 census, the population was 31,313.[1] Its county seat is Vale,[2] and its largest city is Ontario. The county was named after the Malheur River, which runs through the county. The word "malheur" is French for misfortune or tragedy.[3]

Malheur County is included in the Ontario, Oregon Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Boise Combined Statistical Area. It is included in the eight-county definition of Eastern Oregon.

Ontario is the largest city in Malheur County, Oregon, United States. It lies along the Snake River at the Idaho border. The population was 11,366 at the 2010 census.[6] The city is the largest community in the region of far eastern Oregon, also known as the Western Treasure Valley.

Ontario is the principal city of the Ontario, OR-ID Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes Malheur County in Oregon and Payette County in Idaho.

Ontario is approximately halfway between Portland and Salt Lake City. It is the closest city to the Idaho border along Interstate 84. The city's slogan is "Where Oregon Begins".

Our history
The Enterprise was founded in Vale in 1909 with B.M. Stone as manager and J.J. McGrath as editor. Major L.H. French, a mining promoter, provided the financial backing.“The principal reason for the existence of the Malheur Enterprise is the furtherance of the interests of this city, this county and the whole portion of the great state of Oregon,” the founders said in their first edition. The Enterprise has always been independently owned, and was acquired in 2015 by a veteran Oregon newspaper family.
