If Rotmans caught fire they would be reimbursed what ever the price they paid for the items plus any inflation to buy them again but it would only be at their cost it would never include their markup for what they sell for.
It’s not like an insurance claim for the building itself. That would be valued at current replacement cost of the building.
If I have materials sitting on a job site and the site would catch fire I would be reimbursed the amount paid to buy the materials again. I know this as fact as it happened about 5 years ago. My insurance paid me the amount I paid. They didn’t pay me what I was selling the materials to my client for including my markup.
