When someone makes a small buy or sell to make the price action look better or worse.

Today, someone sold 2200 shares at .0572 while there where bids for a higher price that would have been filled if they wanted to actually make the most at that time.

It’s done to spook those who do not have access to L2 and think it’s tanking

When you see a small amount of shares hit the bid to “paint” the price down.

Paint referring to small amount to make things seem one way but really they are another.

For example 07’s hitting with nice size trades then all of a sudden a 500 share “paint” at .06 making the stock look bad when really it was just a $30 “paint job”
