I've seen it, amigo.
I also saw him in person a number of times in the later stages of his
illustrious career. By then, however, his creativity had expired
and he was just collecting a decent payday on his reputation.

When my son was still in the womb,I always tried to play the three M's for him, in the car, or at home.
Those were Monk, Marley & Mozart.

.....and Nelson, I believe the chaotic rehearsals for
his Town Hall Concert are partially documented in that film. It's a
concert that on record, at least, was full of wonderful exuberance
and outstanding soloists. The players in that big band were all
top notch readers and improvisors. It was all it could possibly take
on their part to bring it off, because, at best, Monk comes off as "uncommunicative" in the footage.

Thelonious Monk (piano)
Donald Byrd (trumpet)
Phil Woods (alto saxophone)
Charlie Rouse (tenor saxophone)
Pepper Adams (baritone saxophone)
Sam Jones (bass)
Art Taylor (drums)
Eddie Bert (trombone)
Robert Northern (French horn)
Jay McAllister (tuba)
