Does money actually exist? Hmmmm...lets try an experiment.

When you get up tomorrow morning and go to the gas station and fill-up your car and they ask for payment - just tell them that money is an imaginary concept.

Likewise, tell that to your mortgage company (or landlord), grocer, utility companies, and everyone else you owe money to.

Then, see how that goes.

I just got back from Portland, the people sleeping on cardboard boxes in the middle of the sidewalk don't believe money exists. Or at least, they believe money is free.

Money exist. It is a promise and a demand represented in a tangible note. Usually obtained by performing tasks or moving material. It is a way to make sure the favors people perform are noted. Then you can ask a favor using the mediator to be the voice of your demand. Of course money is only worth something because people will work for it or trade something for it.
