#45144 RE: ReservedRisk #45143

I can't sleep, super early on the West coast...so perusing the internet and read this back/forth with Citrati.

You literally are proving his point with this post/chart. There is no way in hell ANY holder would have held NUGT from 14 all the way to 140 back in 2016...especially through the top at just shy of 99 to all the way below 60 again (almost a 50% drop) BEFORE it ever reached that $140 level.

You know how I know??? BECAUSE I WAS ON THIS BOARD BACK THEN! That's why that move was so special. NOBODY could believe that it would continue...and it did. Now, folks expecting it which is why it can't seem to unfold.

There was a hype-ster on the board back then that had held NUGT all the way from the 40's to the teens in 2014/15. He made all the same outrageous claims...then he finally was right. However, once he got back to even after years he ended up selling at just a small profit. Point is, even the hype-ster who made all the outrageous claims of NUGT to the moon didn't have the guts to hold to maximize gain. Hindsight is 20/20...you can't get 3X ETF's exactly right...it's impossible. They are literally designed to lose money over the long-term.

Do you know how many folks have come and gone on this board over the last 3 years talking about 2016 and how "next time is going to be the same or bigger"??? I lost count long ago. You're the latest in that long list. All have said Fed this, Fed that...economy this, economy that, gold this/gold that. Even if I agree with what you are saying (much, I do BTW), you cannot make the presumption it will happen or unfold the way you think it will as it relates to NUGT. It just doesn't extrapolate that way here. Never has.

Final point...

Buying/holding NUGT/DUST long-term simply does not work. Trust me, I know. I've learned the very hard and painful way. Go back and read this board. I bought and held NUGT last year. I lost $150k (not a typo) in one trade. I've bought held NUGT and DUST other times since then...and lost over $80k this year on my DUST buy/hold. These are just 2 examples, I've had others that resulted in losses too (documented on board as well). For all of the "big gains" I've had trading NUGT/DUST over the years...they are all wiped out from the massive losses from buying/holding. The only times I've EVER made a killing on these is by swing trading (holding at most 1-3 days). Longer holds just don't work, too much day-to-day shenanigans/decay as Citrati pointed out.

There's plenty of money to be made here if done right. Plus, it's not worth the stress/anxiety of holding "hoping for 2016 to repeat itself". GL!

$NUGT inverse correlation to $USD [Chart]

Watch for $USD 200 dma break down in the coming days for $NUGT breakout confirmation..
(Inflated dollar=more supply=lower $USD purchasing power=higher $Gold prices=higher $NUGT)

TRADE THE DATA!

I find it scary nobody is pissed about the dollar devaluation to prop up their buddies on wall street without congress approval or even a peoples vote our money buys less. Instead everyone cheers them on.

Guess everyone's in on the ponzi.

The devaluation will move gold based assets higher then overall equitys, but whatever..

Since Fed gave up and started being dovish, on avg, gold based assets out performed EVERYTHING and thats with out a serious mainstream movement..

Gold is making all time highs in most currencies. Dollar will soon join. ;^)
