I have something. It's a paracord escape bracelet. I know it's not considered safe to rappel down a building, but I'm fairly small and I have a better chance of surviving trying that than staying in the building.

LOL! The required window strength to withstand high winds at heights above 60 floors would also withstand a ball peen hammer, so there's that. Truthfully, the window thickness for insulation and sound deadening is the same at all levels.

Now you're going to also have to have a sheer walled building, without step backs, so you'll have clearance space and time to pull your rip cord and to yell Geronimo!

No, if it were a practical consideration stories would abound in NY and Chg. for sure. Best to find the stairwell or a working elevator.

This was the first drill in my new location. 22 stories up I'm not sure the chute would save me.

Stairwells are supposed to be fire proof. But as we learned not plane proof.

The other thing I noticed in walking down was the tightness of the stairwells that gave me a dizzy feeling like I was walking in circles.

And I must be getting old. My knees were on fire by the time I hit the first floor.
