When these idiots say that they are waiting for a confirmatory trial, I believe they are just trying to intentionally create doubt around the effectiveness of Vascepa. Long before I knew the R-I trial results what gave me confidence were all of the studies that showed the inverse correlation between blood plasma EPA levels and Cardiovascular events. Patients with low EPA levels have the most events, those with high EPA levels have the lowest event rates. Vascepa is designed to keep the blood EPA levels high.
