Thanks, Bio. Year 1 has definitely been about... working out the kinks for Health Canada. After all, it's been less than a year.

Right after Recreational MJ was nationally legalized here (Canada) I went to a "New Health Canada Dispensary" to check it out.

The experience was very disappointing at that time. The Dispensary was a long drive to the city, a sterile environment and dried out cannabis due to how it was packaged. They actually went behind an intimidating steel door to retrieve my product. I thought that was a bit of overkill. My product was in a childsafe plastic medical bottle. The employee knowledge regarding products was also disappointing.

Now we are seeing more dispensaries and some have a Cannabis Boutique atmosphere, with a better selection of products, with more knowledgable staff.

Prior to legalization, there were dispensaries on every block, with products on display, some outlets had vending machines. The illegal dispensaries are still around if they are following Canada Health Guidelines authorities tend to look the other way.

There continues to be a shortage of cannabis as organic products are designated to medical patients first. Medical Cannabis has been available here since 2001 here, however, more people are feeling comfortable using it since recreational use became legal. Further, the whole world is moving forward with legalization and much of our cannabis is exported to approximately 25 countries as demand grows.

I think Canada will do well with exports as we are the second-largest Hemp Exporter globally. Second, to China, we legalized Hemp in the late 1990s. Canada has a lot of experience in growing and exporting cannabis. We are just new to regulating recreational use, not even one year yet.

On the street, I see people smoking and vaping and they are about 45 years and up. My neighbour is a senior and she vapes on her porch. People want more MJ and more dispensaries. We're excited about Phase 2 Legalization to get even more variety in product consumption.

Thanks for your question Bio33. ACB
