Tachyons no, but Taiphoons? Jeeze Louise! It's nothing short of miraculously for the 2nd major big one of this season to be bearing down exactly towards the same Shizuoka-Izu-Tokyo Bay coastline. That's unbelievable - the angle of attack is pretty darn narrow to hit that one part of coastal Honshu without hitting somewhere around Kyushu to Shikoku instead! Well I'm sure you are busy covering your tea plants (well, actually they're your suppliers' plants and not directly your problem, I think).

On the last one a month ago, I was in Atsugi, just NE of Odawara, and 30-40 miles or so inland for the last one that came in overnight. It's just plain amazing that just a month or so later another big one is headed to landfall in exactly the same vicinity. This time I'm in Tainan though, so your on your own for this one Umibe san! Good luck, I hope you don't suffer any property damage.
