#245855 RE: Lykiri #245853

Just doing some digging around... can anyone offer some insight and connect the dots on this...

On Lykiri's post about the Advent Bioservices and NWBO 6.5m signs that were placed on the Sawston building, someone posted a comment on the Facebook post saying:

"Elaine Dowell: You should have popped in for coffee or a coke ??". This makes me assume that this Elaine Dowell is employed in the building, most likely at either Advent or NWBO. However, a quick LinkedIn search of Elaine Dowell shows that she is currently a "Team administrator and Clinical Trial Assistant" for Bicycle Therapeutics.

About Bicycle Therapeutics :
Bicycle Therapeutics (NASDAQ: BCYC) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a novel class of medicines, referred to as Bicycles®, for diseases that are underserved by existing therapeutics. Bicycles are fully synthetic short peptides constrained with small molecule scaffolds to form two loops that stabilize their structural geometry. This constraint facilitates target binding with high affinity and selectivity, making Bicycles attractive candidates for drug development. Bicycle’s lead product candidate, BT1718, is a Bicycle Toxin Conjugate being investigated in an ongoing Phase I/IIa clinical trial in collaboration with the Centre for Drug Development of Cancer Research UK. Bicycle is headquartered in Cambridge, UK with many key functions and members of its leadership team located in Lexington, MA.

Specifically, Bicycle Therapeutics is located at B900, Babraham Research Campus, Cambridge, U.K. Not at the Sawston facility.

Amazing sleuthing, Lykiri.

Question is; why now?

One has to think that it's an indicator of Sawston moving to a more active phase. Getting up and running, in other words.

I've been waiting on Sawston getting going for some considerable time now. They originally intended gaining the requisite ATMP manufacturing licences a year and a half ago.
And to date, Advent operates in London at CCGTT under their licences.
(CCGTT MHRA MA(IMP) MS 11149 / HTA licence 11016)

If this was a case of not wanting licences prematurely for a non-operational location, then just maybe this is a case of 'just in time' preparation.

I expect Sawston to be licenced in the next 6 months, and then become fully operational. Mike (forgotten his name) will be the registered qualified person, I'm sure of that.

There is more going on in Europe than most realise, I believe.

The signs are there!

Cool.....especially knowing/understanding the synergy between the two entities.
