The Flex relationship must have ended in July, given the low number of installs reported for that month.

I had wondered whether some of the 160 units in inventory are those that were returned by unhappy franchisees in settlements, but that could have happened only to the extent that those franchisees were willing to accept a VEND promissory note in return, and that's a bad trade.

The other possibility that doesitreallymatter mentioned also seems more likely than most to me - there are 160 finished units, but Flex won't release them pending some payment.
