The way I understand it, the View column has to do with viewing a snapshot of the entity. It doesn't have to do with viewing an actual document.

If you click it, you'll see another pane pop up at the bottom of the page titled FILING DATE SNAPSHOT. There will be actual stuff there for filings which were submitted after they introduced the option.
