However, it seems to me that Bitcoin has been in a constant trading range for the past month or more while some of the alt coins continued down. Litecoin went from it's year high of $141 (back around with Bitcoin hit $14k) and dropped to the $100 range for a while, then continued down to in the $60's while bitcoin hung out around 10k. I felt some of the alts needed to return to certain ranges to get back in line with bitcoin before rallying together. Just my thoughts though.
