We are encumbered by the fact we do not know what the etiological agent (if there is one) or what the basic process is...If it's not Systemic Inflammation then obviously EPA is not likely to be the answer...We currently have a basket of Prion or prion like disease...KURU, Scrapie, and miRNA dysregulation conditions ..Joseph Kruztfeldt and other neurological diseases..
MiRNA dyseregulation is currently a very hot topic in brain dysorders ranging from autism, schizophrenia, Lou Gerhigs disease, Huntington's (yes) ,Parkinsons and Alzheimers...These are look like epigenetic conditions...Vacines have shown some promise...But certainly SI could also be a factor.in thes changes...
IMO Alzheimer's just just looks like the best candidate..Because it looks like a lot mo other degenerative diseases seen as part of aging .But it might not work...
