Mets - Since the MOA of V is currently accepted to be unknown even by the investigators, and that unknown MOA is responsible for MACE reductions in R-It, it will be very difficult for anyone else to piggyback on R-It results. Other companies are going to have to do their own outcome trials to show that their specific drugs have the same beneficial effects as V. This might be a reason for the company to slow walk any publications on V's mechanisms.
