To receive and transmit digital communications. In other words, they are communication devices.

The question becomes whether the definition means “handheld electronic devices and/or communication devices” or “handheld electronic devices and/or handheld communication devices.” I’m certain that Apple’s attorneys could argue it either way. In other words, it isn’t clear that “5G terminal has nothing to do with CE.”
