That is easy. The blinded results IMO provide evidence of positive results. I believe they remain blinded, so they are not making reference that the unblinded results are positive .... but I believe it is fair to assume that the unblinded data will show positive results too .... once they become known ... and especially for certain subgroups of patients.
Just consider the long tail of surviving patients that have been reported in a blinded fashion .... I believe that regardless of the composition of the placebo versus treatment patients that have contributed to the high number of long term survivors .... the vaccine is highly likely to be having a very positive effect (when taking into account how much lower the expected long term survival would be based on just standard of care).

IMO. It was probably due to just dumb blind luck. I mean ce on. How can there not be an active agent?
