Old dogs cant learn new tricks. Young dogs aren't strong enough. Why can't they apply the 2nd year running back approach of method B to L? I'm just asking. I don't know. Considering how slight of a change it was, could they have simply dialed in maturation timelines with L after they learned of improvements from direct??
