I’m wondering when the short squeeze kicks in? Do you or anyone else have any idea as to how high a percentage of the float has to be locked up before shorts have to start covering?

I guess it depends on when the shares that need to be covered were shorted. Also in my experience with AX*XA it’s best to have that short squeeze before stock ends up on the Reg. Sho. list as once the stock ends up on that list the market makers will systematically short a little each day to cover the amount of shares they need to cover each day without letting the share price appreciate at all.
