He said you can see 3 and 4 members of a family riding on one moped and each getting dropped at their locations, and then picked up for the ride home.
I do believe if oil begins to rise again and gas prices begin to hoover around $3 and more a gallon people will give these cars a real serious look.
When it gets into the higher ranges of $4 and higher the Suv's and vehicles that are real gas guzzlers will become fewer and fewer on the road. People would be nuts to pay $75 and more to fill their tanks. $300 a month for to and from work. Addtional driving can kick this up to $400 and more. Way more for the Suv's, pick-ups and Hummers.
There will be a market for them no doubt.
The Smart car can get 600 miles per tank. It was also stated that these cars aren't just designed for around town but long distances as well.
Just what kind of revenue Ctxi can generate from this is yet to be seen. Maybe in time the Parent company will just buy them?........We have 3 companies that may play a role in these future cars with their engines.
I think it will be the wave of the future. If everyone owned one these truly would be just as safe on the road.
