I live in CT. Try going to a store now that carries plastic bags. Chances are you won't find them. At .10 cents a bag people aren't buying them. That's the whole point. I would typically have anywhere from 8 to 12 bags for a weekly shopping trip and that's not counting additional trips to the store. People are not willing to have an extra one or two dollars tacked onto their Grocery bill. By the way the stores are charging .10 cents for the paper bags too.
So my point still stands. The only way for CT to go about conducting business prior to this law is to buy the only biodegradable plastic bags that could possibly be available made by Vytex. I hope I cleared up any confusion.
