Same feeling here! Some folks on this board expect significant news this year.. The only goal is to temper expectations again.. Seems like a loop. They told us the shareholder letter was canceled, and out of the blue there it is again prior to the ECOC. Not a good sign.

I, for one, urged them to continue sending out the open letter and I am sure others did as well. Because they said that they would do quarterly updates. It is a tool for set and adjust expectations. It simply says everything is on schedule. Also, it will get some free press and attract some eye balls.

This is not a PR. Don't expect material progress in this kind of open letter.

I'm convinced it's just not possible to make some of you happy.

You'll notice this was not a quarterly update.

This letter was sent out because there were some things that needed to be updated.

If you think there was no new information in this note, I literally cannot help you.

I will say one thing, and then I'm out for a few days:

Lightwave needs another 9 months. Give them to next May - if they bring you nothing but letters over the next 9 months, fly to Denver, and deal with management directly at that time.
