I think everybody's patience has been tested. Given the last Adcom, it's understandable we feel some PTSD. The lack of tangible and plentiful communication from the company and FDA. Swirls of FUD, and it's no wonder we have short attacks during this quiet, uncertain period before Adcom.
Is the FDA out to screw the company and shareholders? Or are they simply going about their business in their normal fashion? I tend to think they are like the school bus in front of you during your morning commute. They drive slow and carefully and don't care if you're left waiting behind their bus. You're pissed because you think they are out to screw you. They're not. In the end, the kids get to school and you'll get to work; just slower than you would like.
Given the science, outstanding results of the completed outcome study, support of various medical associations and doctors, RWE, etc., we are in a good place. FDA will do their job (at their pace), and we will all get to where we need to...eventually. Adcom is necessary given the size of the market that Vascepa will address.
Management is behind the scenes preparing for Adcom 2.0, preparing for the launch of the product, defending its patents and otherwise handling their business. We have questioned their decisions, but they have been correct way more often than not.
We will be rewarded, but in the interim, we must protect our positions. It's understandable that some have taken some money off the table. That said, I have a very sizable bet that this stock will be north of $30 within 6 months and I'm not about to give up my shares. So buckle down, and enjoy the ride. Don't leave yourself open to margin calls if there's a flash bear raid. And prepare to wait behind the school bus a bit longer than what you expect. As many have said...just RELAX.
