I don't think that EV would serve in intimidating capacity. On the contrary.

Probably would be used in large cities where it would be more economically viable to have a fleet of compact EVs, as opposed to full size gasoline patrol cars. Greater maneuverability in crowded areas, and in patrolling events within congested parts of cities. Offers more protection and shelter than a bike, or horse patrol. Many cities want to show their voting base how they are "going green" too.

Even local county sheriffs would be interested in them, where maybe bike/horse patrols would not cut it. Same for the fire units. I think the fire EVs would do really well within both small and large manufacturing plants. I used to work for Nissan, and know this type unit would be highly desired, over the fleet of golf carts they currently use.

I think their largest consumer base would initially be overseas, as the US market catches up with the growing demand, as outlined by JP Morgan, in link above.
