So how can we test Natures assertion that Anavex 273 has been granted fast track designation by the FDA, and approval for Phase III?

1.) What caused this to happen?
A. According to Nature, Positive phase II results, NOT a criteria that allows for fast track based on rare disease status such as is the case with Rett. Also, context is important. The Nature paper was discussing Alzheimer's not rare diseases.

2.) Has Anavex confirmed this new information in Nature?
A. Well, not formally but the company did update their pipeline status for Alzheimer's on Friday to show Phase II is complete (solid blue line), and the indication is now in Phase 3 (shaded).

You'd be hard pressed to argue that Nature made a mistake AND Anavex is purposely misleading by asserting that their Alzheimer's trial is now out of Phase 2 and into full blown Phase 3!!!!!!

The day of reckoning is upon us.
