Nuke, My wife and I have BCBS of Texas and are both on Vascepa. Unfortunately they do not cover it. We pay $210 each for 30 days supply and I am looking forward to the future coverage. I don't understand the inconsistencies between state to state with BCBS. I believe that Michigan and Florida has already added it to their formularies.
I hope you're not saying you plan on selling AMRN stock and buying an annuity with the proceeds - in this low interest rate environment the only winner is the salesman - you'll never, ever get your own money back, unless you live to be 90 or older - you'd be better off putting the cash aside and withdrawing 1/20th of it per year - put the AMRN proceeds in an ETF like MINT and you'll also make 2.7% interest on it - MINT trades at par, next to zero chance you lose any principal.
