The diseased shrimp were destroyed by the TPWD and tanks sterilized as there is no cure for the virus. The virus will lay dormant as the parents pass the virus on to their offspring and doesn't show up until the PL and juveniles show signs of deformity, stunted growth and erratic swimming behavior.
