I use to split a lot of my logs for burning when it's cold out. They split a lot easier when frozen, any moisture in the log made it a lot easier splitting and I always tried to split them in 1/3 rds. Not trying to split them in the middle, try a third off the side it seems to work much better. I had a hot water boiler-wood stove that sat outside, I circulated the hot water thru the plenum on my furnace. It worked great. Northwest manufacturing Red Lake Falls MN
My favorite to run was John Deere backhoe's 410, 410 with front wheel assist. Now that's a great piece of equipment to run!! JMO
