An extremely careful DD will show there are many BMG's which contain aluminum, there are many BMG's containing magnesium.

Howerver, while there are several aluminum and magnesium alloys, there are no BMG;s to date of aluminum and magnesium BMG's.

In fact it is neither the magnesium or aluminum in any of the formula that makes the alloy a BMG alloy.

While combining magnesium and aluminum do make an alloy, it does not follow that a good BMG will contain both aluminum and magnesium.

This is readily seen by a search of all BMG;s containing Aluminum or Magnesium. You will not find a BMG which contains both.

I welcome further discussion which shows absolutely a BMG including both manesium and aluminum.

Show me the dough and I'll gladly eat crow.

Aluminum corrodes easily; magnesium corrodes easily, it takes more than these two elements alone to make a glass and that was the point I made from the very offset.

A good read on the subject emphasizing the lack of BOTH aluminum AND magnesium in BMG is:

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2238785414000258

Another is this PDF file, page 5 chart:

Obviously the pro group citing Magnesium aluminum BMG require more DD.

Addressing a magnesium based BMG does not address what PaymeMF addressed: Magnesium-aluminum BMG.

Changing the parameters of an argument mid-stream is not square with the original discussion.

But, in today's society, changing the rules of the game midstream is irrelevant, as are those changing the rules.

My original post and all subsequent remain the same.

There is a difference between "reading" and "reading into"

What PaymeMF wrote and what you replied to are two separate things.
