skitahoe,
What generally happens is that immune surveilance by various growth factors decreases over time and this is why cancer is more rare and probably seen as generally less aggressive in younger patients. Hereditary conditions and environmental factors are also powerful forces that can cause our immune systems to become compromised and those probably take more specific countermeasures to overcome as the impact on the immune system is different than that caused by normal aging. In some situations our gut biome is not optimized or disregulated by the use of antibiotics and we become more susceptible to various diseases. Steroid use by asthmatics reduces immune defense mechanisms and can lead to cancer. I had a friend who refused to give up having animals in her house and she was always using steroidal inhalers. She developed lung cancer and there was no history of cancer in the family at all. That she developed lung cancer but was not a smoker made me envision pointing about 9 of my 10 fingers at that steroid use.
Anyway, the thing about Direct is immune memory. Once immune memory is established folks need to find ways to more permanently boost immune surveillance. That can be worked on with low impact excercise like jumping rope or lifting weights, taking steps to improve gut biome and working towards proper antioxidant levels through diet. Slightly elevated IL-2 levels have been associated with better immune surveillance so there may be an opportunity with some form of slow release low dose treatment there too.
The beauty with Direct is that each vaccine works to eliminate any new tumor burden so it may be used as a booster at any time in the future if needed to establish a new level of immune memory. Best wishes.
