TM ...not to be picky but .
When someones salary is 65K ( actually believe its higher then that for these reps ) the actual cost to the company is higher when you add on matching SS payments , unemployment , liability , worker comp insurance etc etc

I have no idea what the workers comp bill would be for these reps but if for instance they were hospitalized due to a car accident while actually working for AMRN ..ie visiting MD's ...that would be a worker comp payment .

Wether $140k or $200K a year ( total company cost )is really irrelevant IMHO . This capital raise is for far more then simply hiring and training 400 sales reps for a yr

T-Mac: With all do respect I feel your overall number is low. Especially healthcare. The number I quoted is essentially the mid-range for the pharmaceutical industry. The number takes into account some of the not so obvious things, like training costs, internal support, etc.
Either way, the sales rep-sales force is the most costly part of the industry.

Absolutely Not 200-250

Here's the breakdown

65K Salary
5K Healthcare
15k Car Allowance
30k Travel and Per Diem
25k Miscellaneous
======================
140K Max

Your car allowance is insanely low.
Healthcare costs are a little low.
You are also missing FUTA and STUA and retirement.

I think your salary is a little low too. I think they make mid 70s to low 80s.
