There is no reason that an MD can not tell hs patients to take half the standard dose. Being a Pharmacist for 40 years I have seen many variants of dosages, some too little some too much. That is up to the each individual MD. He see the results not us or you.. My MD for some reason started me on V at 1gm BID, I went along with it.. It lowered my trigs from 328 to 198, My A1c went from 6.5 to 6.3, the pain in my damaged knuckle resolved. I increased my dosage to standard thereafter..

Also generics are not equal except for the active ingredients.. I have seen real shit manufactures through the years.
