There is a good article in Kitco.com written las year about the effects of inflation on gold margins.
Every mine is affected for the cost of fuel and labor . All projects are affected by that. My brother worked for mining corporations in South America, they have suspended some projects because of these factors, it is just common sense.
They keep on working in the ones that are more productive.
