IMO - the major considerations are how much $$ they are willing to throw into the pot (synergistic partnership is better than raising funds in on the Street) .. and how much infuence they can wield in a very lucrative Asian Market.
These calculations are too complex for message board speculation.

When the Consortium was announced I thought Takeda would connect with Anavex, but then Eisai hired Hampel and we know how deeply connected Hampel is to Anavex. I think he could have the pull to make a partnership happen w Eisai. He approves of our methods and thinks highly of our drug.
