Here is a guide to help understand The uspto terms. On May 29.2019 CV Sciences corresponded with uspto. Since cvsi registered Pluscbd before the legalization of hemp,Farm Bill 2018, they can re register after that date which it appears they are in the process. I’ll keep an eye open on pluscbd and New harvest trademark status. I believe DuPont is protecting New Harvest.com for CV Sciences to take over in the near future. Jmho

Plus CBD is not a strong tradename that can be protected by trademark laws because cbd is generic and any cbd company can use cbd in their branding..New Harvest like Charlotte's Web are great branding names in my opinion...

I understand your point but I have to disagree and here is why.
1. CVSI is the only company that can use CBD in their label because it operates with full compliance of safety/quality and data to prove it. No other company can do that without fear of crack down by the FDA.
2. The use of CBD is just beginning. I want everybody to see CBD on the label of our products and pick it up and read what's in it without a doubt. Most competitor ( Important ones) are using hemp because they are not in compliance yet. So CVSI has an advantage when using CBD in the label.
3. Most of CVSI's retail market will move to the FDMs in 18-24 months. Above 25k stores easily. This market follows strict rules of safety and quality and again CVSI is the only (among the top Cos.) company using CBD in their label, casting NO doubt for consumers as to what is the active ingredient in the product. CVSI (right now) is the only one that can get away with this. CVSI has always followed the FDA guidelines and have been in touch with them constantly. You have seen the results after 5+ years of selling their products. An industry leader.
4. Put it this way, most people know about CBD (and more to come) because of CVSI. They started this business. A lot of work has been done in educating their clients and costumers. Also leading in the scientifc work done.
5. I think the idea, from day one, is to create a quick association between the active ingredient CBD and the brand/company. In a couple of years when people talk about CBD, PlusCBD will be part of the conversation.
If you say Cola, CocaCola pops up in your mind. Well , when you say CBD, PlusCBD will be in everybody's mind.
6. The label also says "FULL SPECTRUM HEMP EXTRACT". People will find out that this is the best type or more effective as compare to others that use Isolates, and that the consistency (amount of CBD) in the bottle is guaranteed with the best price range. Remember that CVSI has a regular FS Hemp Extract, the GREEN label, and the CONCENTRATE GOLD label which uses a proprietary process. Competitors have products with higher doses 3,000 mg per bottle or more, but they don't have CONCENTRATES.
Check very closely how the Gold formula is made and then you will understand why is so effective compare to other brands with higher doses (quantity).
Hint: The GOLD formula never uses a CBD isolation process. No short cuts. It's all natural compounds but concentrated. 3 GREEN becomes 1 GOLD of fully natural compounds, no CBD isolation used in the production process. Try and find another company that has this kind of product and let me know if you find one.
CVSI's GREEN label is the industry standard product for FS Hemp Extract. The Gold formula is ABOVE industry standards. It's unique. We are all still learning. I just started using the RAW formula too.
