I had a minor dispute on what you said about ASCEND being a lose-lose. Since this was a known upcoming event, it should be factored in by the market at some average of the 2 results. Thus, the "lose lose" average was already in. Similarly for why events that are known be happening can not be "win win".
If you think in the abstract it is "lose lose" then it will likely be "meh".
