So far you are right on a lot of counts Invictus MD has proven nothing yet.
The one retort (if you don't mind a conversation) is this looks like a back against the wall fix out of necessity and could provide the catalyst needed to jump start the car again.
Personally, I think there were too many soft handed clever guys sitting in leather chairs discussing how brilliant they were and reading headlines about their visits to Wall Street and KISS concerts. Mr. Dixon finally took the shovel out and has begun to dig in.
