Thanks for the article link (Apr 19, 2910 PR re MDCN 'acquiring' Chuck's Vintage).
I'm fairly sure that there was a grain of truth in that article -- that there is now a relationship between MDCN and Chuck's Vintage. But I agree that the claim that MDCN 'acquired' it is hard to believe if that means 'for cash'. But hey, maybe they paid Chuck's Vintage in MDCN stock, to give C.V. a controlling interest in MDCN, so that it was more like a reverse merger.
There is a Chuck's Vintage website, www.chucksvintage.com, but it does NOT seem to have any on-line sales capability (which was promised by Ken's PR).
The website is mostly pictures of Madeline Cammarata looking chic, links to pictures of celebrities who bought clothing from the walk-in store, and quotes of review articles giving her store favorable press -- but the thing about the review quotes is that a) while they are posted on the C.V. site with 2019 dates, and b) each post gives a link to the original article, c) the original articles are several years old.
which (at this moment) says the store in Los Angeles is open. But there are no very recent posts on the main page about the business. Instead, most of the fairly recent posts seem to document Madeline's hospitalization and recovery from some sort of injury. [I had thought I read that the walk-in store was closed; but again, Facebook says it is open from 9am-5pm. It gives a phone #, but I didn't call it.]
Back to the PR: it also says Ken is going to bow out of MDCN for good. I can believe that (now that he's found a sucker to take the dead MDCN ticker off his hands).
