It is interesting to me some here are invested in Interdigital. IDCC is a technology company that thrives because of innovation. You are wasting your time trying to convince someone who longs for the 1950’s to adapt to the future. The definition of a conservative is someone adverse to change and innovation. This resistance has been a big problem for this country as change is not only inevitable, but necessary. The world will keep moving on. In the past, many great empires have failed and disappeared maybe because they wanted to live in their glorious pasts. Let’s hope Interdigital can find a way to license their technology even as circumstances beyond their control create obstacles.

max, I agree with technological progress. If robots can perform most jobs, so be it. But I'll be damned if I let some foreigner direct those robots because of favorable treatment under WTO rules. If they can win the job fair and square, more power to them.

If a US company finds cost savings by contracting to foreign labor, so be it. But keep in mind that labor cost differentials narrow all the time and there are costs associated with quality-conscious outsourcing.
