KIWI:....Two thoughts/questions I have about SWAV:
1. We know that shock waves are helpful in removing calculi in the ureters, but are there any studies of short or long term potential damage to peripheral arteries or coronary arteries(i.e. cracks in the plaques leading to bleeding and clotting)?
2. these shock wave devices are marketed mainly to hospitals on a one time basis...Coronary stenting is widespread, but most coronaries do not need shock waves for stenting...Does SWAV have a wide enough market for these devices to provide sustainable revenues over time?
