I don’t know if you remember the financial crash some 10 years ago.
The cause free enterprise, greed, dodgy financial product constructions and fraud, with the tax payer ultimate footing the bill again and with little consequence to those who were to blame.
I am doubtful that the regulation brought in will defend against a similar situation recurring and ideally I can agree less regulation would be best.
Even Denmark is now on the map with one of or maybe the biggest money laundering scandal so far and that with a bank in a highly regulated society.
Seems the regulators completely failed to live up to their responsibility - the data was there, but the understanding or will to act was not!
What do we do other than appeal to the better nature within us?
