Why is it a problem if a company starts out in a garage?
I'll give you two examples of companies that I have personally worked for in the past:
1) Advanced Energy Industries Inc. - They currently have a market cap over $2.
Schatz began making power supplies for the semiconductor industry in his bedroom in California before moving the fledgling manufacturing business to Fort Collins in 1981.
2) ROLM Corp - They were sold to IBM in 1984 for over $1.5B. ROLM started out in a fruit shed.
Decades before Facebook, seven years before Apple, four young men were hard at work in a prune-drying shed designing ''the world's toughest computer.''
